The Green Organisation is an independant, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environmental group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice among countries, companies, councils and communities.

The Green Apple award is supported by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Environmental Agency, The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and The MJ,(the Municipal Journal).
